Conferences
Independent Free Paper of America Conferences helped create the IFPA culture of volunteerism and sharing. For the first fourteen years IFPA conferences were held each Spring and Fall at the Airport Marriott in St. Louis. In the spring of 1994 the first conference on the road was held in Orlando. For the next 5 years IFPA returned to the St. Louis Airport Marriott each fall. From the spring 2003 semi annual conferences were held in a variety of locations across the U.S.
Past IFPA Conference Themes
The job Program Chair can be the most demanding volunteer job in IFPA. The program chair is assisted in planning and execution by a Conference Chair who usually had the position of Program Chair the previous year.

IFPA Spring Training
In 2001 IFPA started another tradition when Sales Boot Camps were introduced. In 2004 IFPA began holding their annual meeting and a Conference each fall and Spring Training consisting of Sales Boot Camp, Managers' Camp and Advanced Sales Training in Orlando, Florida each spring.
