Dear IFPA Members:
I am reaching out to you with regards to an email blast that many of you received last week from John Newby.
As you know, our association has held in highest concern the protection of information you entrust us with as members. This includes but is not limited to mailing lists, phone numbers and email addresses. We have never sold our information to others and do not intend to do so.
Our associate members, may from time to time provide you with information about their products and services, which is one of the benefits they enjoy with their IFPA associate membership.
Of course, we use your contact information to communicate the opportunities and business of our association.
The email you received last week from John Newby was sent without our knowledge or approval. We did not provide him with any contact information not made available to any other IFPA member (i.e. membership directories or access to our member list via the website).
Some of you have expressed dismay that a member of our association would use your contact information to solicit membership in another organization. We apologize on behalf of the association. Rest assured we will discuss this situation as a board to ensure protection of the information you entrust to us.
Sincerely,
Deborah Phillips President, IFPA
